EnviroSystems Management, Inc. is a small, fast-growing environmental consulting company headquartered in northern Arizona. We complete contract work in the fields of archaeology, biology, and environmental compliance and permitting in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Historic Preservation Act, to name a few. We have a diverse client base ranging from the federal government to large-scale residential developers. We work under deadlines much of the time, yet our reports must be of high quality, technically and grammatically correct, and professionally produced. Much logistical planning is involved with large field projects, and extreme attention to detail is required for report production. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Environmental Science Senior Biologist/Project Manager

JOB TITLE: ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SENIOR BIOLOGIST/PROJECT MANAGER

Start Date: Immediate.

Salary and Benefits: $50,000 to $65,000 depending on experience.

Benefits package includes subsidized medical, dental, vision, L/T disability, and life. Benefits also include retirement plan with matching employer contribution.


Responsibilities:
- Identify regulatory requirements
- Review & compile environmental data pertinent to project requirement
- Develop clean water act Section 404, 402, & 401 permit applications & compliance documents including 404 (b)(1) alternatives analysis, Environmental Assessments, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), State 401 Water Quality Certification applications
- Endangered species surveys, mitigation, & monitoring
- Maintain and keep current staff CVs and marketing information
- High quality technical compliance reporting & permit status reports
- Conducting background research & data collection on land use & environmental topics
- Manage financial performance of individual projects & effectively coordinate with clients & staff
- Prepare proposals & assist senior staff with business development & marketing efforts
- Supervise, direct, and instruct field personnel & perform all aspects of field research, data collection, inventory, analyses, & report production
- Work outdoors under harsh conditions

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- USFWS permitted for MSO, SWFL, desert tortoise, etc., a plus.
- Ability to assess environmental quality and potential impacts
- Experience in environmental compliance , T&E species surveys, and sensitive resource issues
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional technical writing skills and a record of completing technical reports in a timely fashion
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Experience in writing concise regulatory analyses
- Experience with natural resource permitting for construction projects
- Ability to function in an unstructured environment without strict supervision
- GIS application skills a plus

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Planning, Biology, Forestry or related field required. Advanced degree preferred and at least five to seven years of professional experience is required.
